Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is an actress and model hailing in the US. After a brief stint as a model in the fashion industry and then a transition to acting by appearing as guest stars on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s and High Incident. In 1997, she made her debut as a film actress in Nowhere. With her performances in American Beauty - for which she was nominated to be awarded a BAFTA Award - and American Pie that earned her greater attention, she transitioned into bigger roles. Since then she appeared on screen in Loser (2000) alongside the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun, a 2002 independent drama film and Trauma, a (2004) thrillers were also featured in her career. Other appearances on HBO include the series Six Feet Under. In 2008, Suvari was cast in several movies such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as the film adaption to The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured in several magazines and fashion blogs like Vogue. Suvari is a strong supporter and a defender of The African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious organisation that helps provide aid to Africans. She is an activist in the cause of female empowerment as well as a member of several charities fighting breast cancer or an End Violence Against Women movement. Her most well-known role is on popular TV shows such as Dark Angel Heroes Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper Rookie Blue as well as many other shows. She is known for modeling famous campaigns, such as Mercedes-Benz Sprint Canada & the Olympics. Missy's movies include Stick It Backcountry Someone Red and Wide Awake. She was an accomplished actress who managed to stand out in all one of these films. Missy is a big heart. She spends her free time participating in various philanthropic causes.
