Donald Joseph Qualls better known by the screen name DJ Qualls was born in the USA. He is an actor, producer and model. After achieving fame through his roles in Road Trip and The New Guy Hustle & Flow the actor has appeared in more than 20 feature movies like The Core. In addition to his work as a character in the film, he's played in 22 different TV shows like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order as well as other. Qualls is fighting Hodgkin's lymphoma from the time he was 14 years old. Following two years of treatment his cancer went into remission. However, the early treatment had severe effects on his health as well as stunted development. After he began acting, financial security was the goal. He'd experienced the poverty of his youth. When I've lived in such a shabby way over the years I need the financial safety. Otherwise the world seems beyond my reach. He reflects on his youth and feels the desire to act against bullying. DJ states "Cruelty causes pain to my soul." In real life and on film, DJ's character would like to play a father. The director admits that they do not cast him in these roles. He'd love to become the father of his child one day so he can devote more time to the child and less to his career.
